The tournament is over and we want to get better for next time. At /enkat there's now a short survey (about 2 minutes) in two parts: your experience of the app and its features, and Max as a writer. You'll find a discreet link on the home page. You can answer anonymously, and anything you write as free text is treated privately - we read everything.

Two things on the home page: match cards where Max has written a preview now carry a clear "Read Max's preview" link straight to it - so you find his words before kickoff without guessing. And a new "Knockout" tab gathers all the knockout matches you can predict on one screen, in chronological order regardless of match day - so for example both semi-finals appear together. The tab shows up whenever there are knockout matches to predict.

Ahead of a knockout match you now get a preview on the match page: Max's own words about the game together with the match image, before kickoff. Once the match has been played the usual report takes over - so you get the right text at the right time.

The knockout view where you predict now shows each match's image at the top of its card - and lists only the games you can actually predict right now. Rounds already played and matches that don't have their teams yet no longer clutter the list, so you see straight away what's next. Predicting works just like before.

The leaderboard now has a Total view that adds your group-stage and knockout points into a single standing - so you see the full picture, not just one phase at a time. Now that the knockouts are on, the leaderboard opens straight on Total. You can still switch to Knockout or Group stage via the tabs.

The group stage is settled and the knockouts have arrived. All 16 Round-of-32 ties are up with real teams, a preview, an AI tip and their own match image - predict before kickoff via the knockout view. It's win or go home now, all the way to the final.

Max's match recaps are now larger and easier to read - the headline is clearly bold and the body text more spacious - both on the match page and in the analysis feed. Tuned for reading on mobile.

The team pages - one page per team with matches, results and Max's content - can now be reached straight from the menu. You'll find "Teams" in the tab bar when logged in, and at the bottom of the page whether or not you're logged in. The pages are open and easy to share.

There's now an optional challenge - "Who wins the World Cup?" - that you actively join. Here you compete purely on your knockout predictions: who takes the gold, who reaches the final and who reaches the semifinals. Join, place or change your predictions until the knockout stage starts on 28 June, and follow your own standings against everyone else. Your regular match predictions are unaffected.

Every team page now has a short situational summary in Max's voice - the team's form, group situation and the players he highlighted - plus an image of its own for the team. The content is built automatically and fills in over time. (Numbers and results always come from real match data.)

There's now a page for every team in the 2026 World Cup - the team's matches, results so far, Max's recaps and the players Max highlighted, gathered per team. The pages are open (no login needed) so they can be shared and found via search engines. Find them at /lag.

The pre-match analysis and AI tip for each match are now written in Max's own voice, weaving in each team's form so far, the group situation and the squads - not just dry facts. You'll see it on the match page before kickoff. (Numbers and results always come from real match data.)

On the match page you can now like or dislike Max's match write-up, and agree or disagree with his standout players (the stars). It's entirely optional and you can undo it - a quick thumb to show what you think.

The "About the challenge" text now updates as the challenge's matches are played, so it reflects the current state instead of being stuck on how things looked before the challenge started.

The results box on the home page now shows only the matches you haven't already looked at - not the whole last day over and over. When a new match is decided you see just that one. You can always see the full latest round again under My results.

The Quick predict cards now show more for each match: a peek of the next card, preview info like stadium, host country and referee, an AI pre-pick ("AI predicts") and a match image at the top. The images also load one at a time in card order and the nearest ones are preloaded, so swiping between matches feels instant.

A new focused mode where you step through your untipped upcoming matches one full-screen card at a time and predict by swiping - perfect on mobile. You reach it from a button on the home page; the regular list is still there. Your predictions save automatically, just as before.

Max now writes status reports about the tournament - short, personal pieces in his voice, built on the match results and his own write-ups. You'll find them on their own page in the app (with a note on the home page when a new one arrives), and they can also be sent as email to the whole pool in your own language. Each report gets a permalink and is kept in an archive.

When a match has finished but Max hasn't entered the official result yet, the app now shows the preliminary result from the match data, clearly marked "Preliminary" - both in the list and on the match page. Points are still only counted once Max has confirmed the official result.

When you share a challenge, you now always get a sharing box with both a link and a QR code, so you can easily copy the link or let someone scan the code on the spot.

Settings are now split into tabs you switch between on the same page - Account, Notifications, Language and Shape it - instead of one long list. Everything saves just as before.

All match images are now generated in the same format, so the cards look consistent. The image is created once per match (not regenerated on every visit) - a new image is only made if Max requests it manually.

Experienced players can now hide elements they no longer need - such as "How to predict" and the tip about adding the app to your home screen. The app remembers your choice centrally per player, so it sticks across reloads and devices (not just in one browser). You can always see the result feedback again under My results even after hiding it on the home page.

The login box is now larger and clearer: a wider box, a clear heading and button, and visible labels above the fields so it is obvious you log in with your name or email plus password.

The question about the app's name used to also appear on the login page. Now the poll only shows when you are logged in - the login box is clean and focused on signing in.

If you forgot your password and your account has neither email nor mobile, it used to be easy to get stuck. Now there is a clear path: on the login page you see "Cannot log in?" with options, and if you have neither email nor mobile you can contact support to get you in. A used or expired one-time link now also guides you on to normal login instead of a dead end.

You can now see "How your picks did" right in the app: a summary of the latest round's played matches with your pick, the result and your points. It appears at the top of the home page when there are new results, and you can always find it under My results. You don't need an email to get this feedback - it reaches everyone.

When you write a match comment and set stars, a draft is saved automatically in your browser as you work. If the page crashes, the connection drops or you leave by accident, your text is still there - next time you open the editor you are asked whether to restore your unsaved draft. You also get a warning before leaving the page with unsaved changes.

On a match page you now see Max's comment, the AI's prediction and the preview analysis first - and everyone's picks after that. So you get the story of the match first, instead of starting with a list of what everyone else predicted.

Previously a challenge's countdown kept ticking down even after it had started. Now the countdown only shows before the challenge begins - as soon as it is under way it is replaced by a clear "The competition is underway".

In home-screen/full-screen mode the tab bar at the top could bounce or slide up and down. Now it only moves sideways - no vertical jump - so it stays put and feels steadier.

You no longer get several scattered emails just before each kickoff. Instead everything is gathered in a single morning email (at 08:30) listing the matches you haven't predicted yet - and each match has a link that logs you in and takes you straight to the prediction. Calmer inbox, just as easy to get your picks in on time.

Matches kicking off within the next 8 hours now show up after today's matches instead of at the top - so the order follows when the matches are actually played. Tonight's late game comes before the night game, just as it should.

The reminder just before kickoff now logs you in automatically and takes you straight to the match - so you can place your prediction in one tap instead of first landing on the home page and logging in yourself.

Shared links could in rare cases show an error when many people opened the same link at once. Now the link always forwards to the right page - so what you share works for everyone.

In some cases the QR code in the share box failed to show. It now renders again so you can scan and share challenges and invites as usual.

Matches kicking off within the next 8 hours are now surfaced under "Today" - even if they belong to tomorrow by date. So you don't miss late-evening and night matches (the World Cup is played on US times). They get a small "Within 8h" marker.

On a narrow screen the tabs at the top no longer get squeezed - they keep their size and you can scroll them sideways instead, so everything stays readable.

The feature where you predict the champion, finalists and semifinalists is now called Knockout predictions - clearer that it is about the knockout stage. Find it under "Knockout predictions". Old links still work.

On iPhone and iPad you can add World Cup 2026 to your home screen and open it full screen like a normal app. A small banner at the bottom shows how - and the help page now has a step-by-step guide plus a quick rundown of how to bet.

A challenge's standings now appear only once the matches have started - before that you see a neutral view with the number of participants. And as always: no one can see anyone else's prediction before kickoff.

Challenges now get a more vivid write-up: the team's journey through the matches, the form so far and how the contest is going are woven into a hero text and an "About the challenge" section - so a challenge feels connected to the whole tournament, not isolated.

New: future bets. Guess who wins the whole tournament, which two reach the final and which four reach the semifinals - from all 48 teams. Find it under "Future bets" and change it until the knockout stage starts. Others' bets are shown only once everything locks.

Email not arriving? You can now reset your password with a one-time code (PIN) by SMS instead. Enter your email or mobile on the "forgot password" page, get the code by SMS, type it in and choose a new password. Requires both an email and a mobile on your account - add your mobile under Settings.

New on the home page: a one-tap button to join the open public challenge if you are not already in it, and a clear nudge to make your first prediction on the next match. Both disappear once you have joined or predicted.

If you've opted in to notifications you now get a short email about an hour before a match you haven't predicted - so you can get your prediction in on time. You can turn notifications off in Settings.

Match images now appear before the match (not just afterwards), so the cards are colourful ahead of time and shared links get an image right away.

The "what's new" notice now sits on the About button - a small orange dot appears when something has shipped in the last day. The separate banner is gone.

The leaderboard shows total points right after your name - and on mobile the detailed columns are hidden so the total is never cut off. Same in league and challenge standings.

A new help page with FAQs - and a contact form if you get stuck. Find it in the footer.

You can now log in with email and password. New accounts set a password right at sign-up and get in immediately - no waiting for email.

When Max has written a comment about a match it now shows on its own on the card (without the AI recap), and a slice of the match image appears as a small banner.

If features you suggested have shipped, the suggestion button now shows a little thank-you with the count - a nod for helping shape the app.

Help boxes now show a little down-arrow so you see they open, Max's comment shows more text right on the card, and you can filter matches by "day after tomorrow".

The "how to predict" help now has a clearer box, and at the bottom there's now a button to create your own league with your friends.

The status box at the top now shows how many matches you have left to predict, with a clearer design and icon - easy to see your placement and what's left to do.

The summary now shows your placement - overall and in your league - plus how much of the matches you've predicted. And the AI analysis on the match card now shows condensed with "read more", just like Max's comment.

The start page got a tidy-up: your points show on one clear line, the match cards align cleanly, and your pick is shown in the same style as the result (a bit smaller) so they're easy to compare.

If you're in a league you can now post comments on a match that only the league's members see - a little per-match, per-league chat. In several leagues? Pick which one.

Before a match the app now shows the AI's own score prediction (clearly marked as a tip, not the result) - fun to compare with your own before kickoff.

Under Tables you now see each group's standout players - the star-rated players totalled across the group's matches, most stars on top.

Turn on notifications in Settings to get a morning email with the overnight results and how your picks did. One email a day, and you can turn it off anytime.

New "Analyses" page (in the footer): a feed of Max's match analyses with headline and intro, newest first - browse and pick what to read.

Max's comment is now front and center - shown first (the human analysis), and on the home page you see a short version right on the match card with "read more". The AI analysis stays as a complement.

If you've turned on "Help shape the app" you now see a plus button at the bottom right on every page - tap it to send a feature idea right where you are, without leaving the page.

Sometimes a short question appears at the top - e.g. to suggest or vote on the app's name. Answer in one tap; it disappears once you've answered.

The logged-out start page now has a Swedish/English switcher in the footer, and About is reachable from there. Leaderboard and tables require login.

The logged-out start page now shows a taste of an AI insight and who is behind it. The About page is split into focused parts: The game, AI insights, Help shape the app and Who we are.

The league leaderboard now shows the members directly - no extra list. As owner you can remove a member right in the table, and pending requests are shown separately.

Your leagues now show as tabs you can swipe between. Create league and invite have their own pages. As owner you see how people join and, for password leagues, the password itself to share.

The league page now has a QR code to scan plus share and SMS buttons - inviting to a league is now as easy as inviting to the game itself.

Share your league link with friends. Anyone without an account can create one in seconds (just email) and lands straight in the league. New copy-link button on the league page.

A league now has a link with the league's name instead of a number - easier to recognise and share with friends.

You can now create your own league and compete in a smaller leaderboard with just your friends or colleagues. Choose whether anyone with the link can join, whether a password is required, or whether you want to approve each member. Find it under Leagues in the menu. The big leaderboard stays there for everyone.

Click a player on the leaderboard to see how they predicted match by match - and their points. Picks for upcoming matches are shown only after kickoff.

You can now count goals up and down with − and + buttons on each match - in addition to typing the number. A short "how to predict" is at the top too. Saves automatically as before.

After a match is played, an AI-generated image can appear on the match page, in the teams' and countries' colours - a small illustration alongside the analysis.

Under Tables there is now a short AI situation analysis for each group, built on the standings, played results and how the field has predicted.

Picks now lock exactly at kickoff (Swedish time). On a match page you see the comment, standout players and both preview and recap, and your pick saves automatically when you change it.

If you haven't chosen a favourite country yet, a shortcut now appears on the home page. Your favourite shows next to your name on the leaderboard. The date filter is now Yesterday/Today/Tomorrow and opens on today's matches.

The date view now has a button per match day and opens on today's matches. The points card shows how many matches you've predicted. And a new shortcut takes you to the suggestions page with a leaderboard of top contributors.

Quickly filter by Yesterday/Today/Tomorrow (date view) or by group letter (group view). The AI insight now shows whether it is a preview or a recap - hover to see when it was generated. The save button is gone; your picks are saved automatically.

The home page now shows Yesterday/Today/Tomorrow on the days, a group badge on every match and a short AI insight right on the card. The full comments and standout players stay on the match page.

Short AI analyses per match are now available - a preview before upcoming matches and a recap once they are played, built on the app's own data. Find them on the match page or together under "Insights" in the footer.

If you use the app in English, Max's match comments and player notes are now translated automatically - with a small "AI-translated" tag and the option to see the Swedish original.

New view toggle on the home page: see the matches per group (A to L) in playing order instead of by date — perfect for predicting one group at a time. Your choice is remembered.

How do player suggestions become live features within a day? The new "How the app is built" page (link in the footer) tells the whole story — and who is behind it.

The visitor start page now explains the game step by step (and who Max is!), and "Help shape the app" has its own section under Settings with its own save button and a read-more link.

Visitors who aren't logged in now get a short intro to the game and to how players can suggest features — with a quick path to registering. Logged-in players see their usual prediction view.

The leaderboard now also shows who suggests the most features — and how many have shipped. Suggestions stay private; only the counts are shown.

Activate "Help shape the app" under Settings and submit your own feature ideas. Follow the status of your suggestions and get credit when something you suggested ships.

Fill in several matches and save them all at once — or let each pick auto-save as you go.

Choose Swedish or English and a favourite country under Settings (the gear, top right). Your favourite shows next to your name.

Share your personal link or show the QR code for someone to scan. Whoever you invite ends up in your network.
